Good idea, adding living quarters to your garage. Very practical!

There's a little house in your garage.

Your wife/girlfriend will appreciate not having to camp outside when it snows. Just like cars, women appreciate being heated in the winter.

The wife thought the garage was to big. "HAHAHA NONSENSE POOPY PANTS" I said! I told her she was lucky to get a house at all. If it would of been up to me there would of been a 400sq foot apartment attached and that's it.

I'm trying to extend my garage but no luck with the permits. Looks like a high roof, planning a lift?

I wasn't really planing a lift but it is a possibility in the future. For reference those door openings are 8 feet tall so I'm guessing it will have about a 9.5 to 10 foot ceiling which would be high enough for a lift.

the roof ended up higher than expected which is a big plus.

No such thing as too large a garage.

Still jealous, looks like you can fit 3 comfortably.

the first photo is trippy. Garage looks only 10-12' long on near side, then the actual 22' on the other. I stared at this a few times because I remembered the layout was similar to mine. All the OSB blends together.

Interesting that they are putting OSB between the house & garage. Mine would have been (is) open studs then fire rated drywall.

Good stuff, so exciting to see it finally taking shape!

the garage is 32'wide x 24'deep. there will be 5/8" drywall on top of the OSB I don't quite know why they do it that way but I'm sure there must be a reason.

this is my very first garage. I never even had a storage shed before. I figured if I'm getting a garage I will make it worth it.
